Our team designed and provided construction management and construction inspections services for this federally funded project let by the NDOT. This project consisted of rehabilitating two bridges over Salt Creek in Lincoln, NE. The 2 bridges, one on 27th street and the other on West ‘O’ Street required several repairs.
Due to flood damage in March of 2019, our team was hired to design and oversee construction of this replacement bridge. This bridge was designed and constructed in 3 years.
Deep in the woods of the Great Pee Dee River Heritage Preserve was a bridge that was on the verge of failure due to high water events, a buildup of debris, and age. Our team worked with SCDNR to design a solution that would solve many of the site’s issues.
The City of Cayce was hit hard by Hurricane Joaquin in 2015. The City’s Riverwalk was demolished by flooding and had closed the pedestrian areas to keep citizens safe. Our professional engineers designed a slope stabilization plan and provided hydraulic calculations.
Our professional engineers coordinated with the project team to design effective temporary traffic control plans that allowed the contractor to replace the bridge in the most cost and time-effective manner.
The team completed the engineering and design of a pedestrian bridge and associated roadway improvements. Villanova’s ultimate vision was to transform an existing paved surface parking lot between Lancaster Avenue and the SEPTA Norristown High Speed Rail Line into an attractive living and learning environment.
The Mile Long Bridge is a critical piece of infrastructure to the Central Tri-State Tollway (I-294) corridor as it carries drivers over two major railroads, three water sources and local roads, and over a major distribution center for UPS and Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway. Bowman is providing Phase III construction management services for this multi-year project.
Phase I and Phase II included engineering design services for the repair and maintenance of seven separate structures. Work included the determination of appropriate repair and maintenance activities for each structure based on recent Bridge Condition Reports, discussions with KDOT staff, and other improvements determined during Phase II engineering.
Bowman is responsible for Phase I, II and III engineering services to upgrade the existing Shermer Road Bridge to meet current structural, hydraulic and geometric requirements.
