This seminar will provide an overview of accessibility requirements for the alteration of existing commercial structures as defined in the 2015 edition of the model Existing Building Code and local provisions adopted within the Commonwealth of Virginia. The discussion will focus on intent as well as the application of code requirements, and provide a basis for the correct application of the code during the architectural and interior design process.
