For the last several years, Bowman’s geospatial practice has grown exponentially, particularly with regard to aerial mapping. The proliferation of the use of UAS/drone technology has revolutionized the industry’s capabilities and has brought greater efficiency to mobile data gathering. Bowman has fully embraced this technology developing a team of experienced pilots married with a fleet of drones equipped with the latest LiDAR capabilities to meet client needs and adapt to new requests.
Chris Mielke joined Bowman from WSP USA and brings more than 25 years of strong survey and GIS background starting with traditional survey, then moving into scanning and mapping, and now with drone and mobile. In this role, Chris will apply this well-rounded view of the entire survey process to develop standard procedures and protocols for deploying Bowman’s aerial/mobile services. With his guidance, the team will maximize the use of these technologies and continue to expand to meet client needs.
