Bowman provided on call support to a locally administered project being managed by the City of Danville. The project design included improvements to widen a quarter mile section of Mount Cross Road to provide improved access to the athletic facilities of Averett College. The project utilizes federal STP funds and VDOT funds. Bowman provided complete right-of-way acquisition services to acquire an easement needed from 18 property owners for the proposed construction. Bowman was able to obtain voluntary conveyance from a vast majority of the parcels. Bowman’s right-of-way staff provided project management, appraisal and negotiation services and also provided limited utility coordination services to the city in preparing the cost responsibility determination and review of the utility relocation plan and estimate.
