Arthur K Draut Park is an 18.9-acre park initially developed to be utilized for water retention during heavy rain. The new improvement added walking trails and open spaces with seating to create a more accessible space for the community. Elevated overlooks and bridges were also added to preserve the integrity of the existing wetlands within Beargrass Creek watershed.

Arlington County Electric Vehicle Infrastructure

Bowman is providing engineering design services for the electrical systems at eleven County facilities. Scope of work includes evaluation of existing electrical infrastructure at each facility, recommendations report for the installation of Level 2 and Level 3 EV charging stations, and preparation of permit-ready drawings for installation.

City of Edgewater Library and Civic Center

Bowman provided energy modeling services for this municipal facility to achieve 47.5% energy cost savings versus code minimum construction, LEED Silver, and $24,000 in rebates from Xcel Energy.

City of Boulder On-Call Mechanical and Electrical Engineering

Bowman has been an on-call contract mechanical and electrical engineering service provider to the City of Boulder since 2013 providing MEP design. We are familiar with the Boulder Energy Conservation Code and the City’s commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions by at least 80% no later than 2050.

Moseby Drive

A dual culvert under Moseby Drive in the City of Manassas Park, Virginia became compromised during a storm and collapsed. As a result, a townhouse community of over 400 residents became inaccessible to vehicle traffic and also severed the water and sanitary utilities. Bowman was called upon by the City to lead efforts to restore the vital connection.

FDOT District 4 Continuing Services

Windsor Water System Mapping

To convert existing CAD data and hard copy maps of the water distribution system into a GIS framework, Bowman identified the water distribution system features including mains, valves, storage tanks, wells, services, meters, and fire hydrants.
