This project consisted of the evaluation of nine buildings and eight parks to determine if they meet current American Disabilities Act (ADA)’ Standards for access by handicapped individuals. Our team worked with Townes + Architects to evaluate the buildings and site accommodations for these facilities and to determine what would need to be upgraded to make the facilities comply with the current standards. Each site was visited by the team to evaluate the facility and catalog any deficiencies found. The team then recommended the upgrades needed to bring the facility into compliance and provided cost estimates for the needed upgrade work.
In addition to the nine building facilities, there were 28 buildings and 78 ballfields at the eight parks. The site work consisted of upgrading the parking lots to meet ADA Standards. We just completed construction plans and specifications for three projects.
