Greatrock Reverse Osmosis Water Treatment Plant

The Greatrock North Water and Sanitation District retained our team to address its aging and failing reverse osmosis water treatment plant. The existing plant designed and built by the original developer had a capacity of 100 gpm and could not keep up with the desired capacity or the district’s water quality targets.

Edgemont Ranch Metropolitan District Wastewater

Durango, CO

The Edgemont Ranch Metropolitan District was issued new, strict TIN, TN and TP limits that rendered their lagoon obsolete. As a remedy, the district looked to the BIOCOS technology, a hybrid activated sludge system to deliver more thorough treatment, consisting of two aeration tanks hydraulically connected to an alternating pair of sludge recycling and settling tanks.

Del Norte Collection System Improvements

The Town of Del Norte’s collection system had significant structural issues including collapsed clay pipes, cracks, and offset joints. Our team was retained by the town to assess, plan, fund, design, bid and provide construction administration for a system-wide collection system improvement project.

Center Sanitation District

Center Sanitation District was struggling for years with a non-compliant lagoon system. The existing facility had chronic BOD, TIN, and E. Coli violations of their groundwater discharge permit. Our team was tasked with creating a long-term financially sustainable solution for the district that didn’t break the bank.

Fine Ore Cusher – 7B Conveyor Counterweight Evaluation

The existing counterweight on the 7B conveyor had a winch system with inadequate lug connections and was rigged at an improper angle, which created structural integrity issues. Bowman prepared an economic trade-off study and general arrangements for counterweight lifting methods.

Secondary (fine) Ore Cusher-7C Dribble Chute and Platform

The client was looking for a safer and more efficient way to transfer ore to the main course ore bin. Bowman produced general arrangements and mechanical drawings for the project.

Primary Crusher Belt Feeder – Motor Lifting Plan

Thomas Jefferson’s Monticello

Thomas Jefferson’s home, Monticello, was a working, 5,000-acre plantation that was home to Jefferson and hundreds of other people. In 2022, the Monticello archaeology team contracted our team to acquire 30 points per square meter (ppm) lidar of the original 5,000-acre to identify unseen traces of past agricultural land use.

TWU University Student Center

Years after its initial construction and after numerous additions, this event and conference space on Texas Woman’s University (TWU) was set to undergo a more complete renovation. Closing the space during the remodel would mean lost revenue to the university. Hayden AB-BC TSF Decant System

Bowman provided construction engineering services. Because of changes in the planned use of the AB-BC Tailings storage facility, the diameter of the slurry distribution pipes were reduced from 18” to 12”. This and other changes were implemented in the pump set ups. These changes resulted in overall improved decant system efficiency.

Riverwalk

Our team was selected to be the lead consultant and provided civil engineering and survey services for the redevelopment of the existing Riverwalk Golf Club site. Riverwalk includes 4,300 residential dwelling units, approximately 140,000 sq. ft. of commercial spaces, approximately 1M sq. ft. of office, and a variety of parks and open space.

Puerto Rico Disaster Response Aerial Imagery

One of the most efficient ways to assess damage across large expanses is to acquire aerial imagery from manned, fixed-wing aircraft. About a week and a half after Hurricane Fiona hit, the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) sent a task order for imagery over the entire island to our team, and we proceeded to design and execute the imagery acquisition efforts.

Minnesota Hydro Mapping

In 2022, the US Geological Survey (USGS) required lidar data and derivative products over a 1,500-square-mile area in central Minnesota. Through its Geospatial Products and Services Contract (GPSC4) our team was awarded a task order to provide QL1 lidar and hydro-flattening breaklines over this area, and the challenge was clear.

Jefferson City Tornado Disaster Mapping

On May 22, 2019, an EF-3 tornado hit Jefferson City, MO. Within a few hours, several geospatial entities within the state established a data acquisition plan. Because of the emergency nature of this project, it was essential to provide data as quickly as possible to assist first responders in relief and recovery activities.

City of Albuquerque International District Library

Our team was extensively involved in the planning and design for a proposed City of Albuquerque library. The project site encompasses two city blocks of property divided by a public city street. The property was previously developed with a night club and pawn shop which have since been demolished to make way for the new construction.

Las Cruces I-25 Study Corridor

Our role included subsurface utility engineering quality levels B, C and D along approximately seven miles of I-25 right-of-way from the Dona Ana Interchange south to Lohman Avenue, with an additional seven miles of densely populated utility corridors beneath several arterial roadways and interchanges.

This 5 span, 180’-0” long bridge replacement project included a bridge over the Blue River on the south edge of Seward, Nebraska. This cast in-place concrete slab bridge was designed to handle the frequent flooding of the Blue River.

Just 4 miles south of the proposed Blair South Bypass, our team designed two miles of grading, culverts, 9″ doweled concrete pavement and erosion control. This county funded project was built under the NDOT standard specifications.

This system, designed to enhance the efficiency of saltwater disposal in midstream operations, aimed to eliminate the dependence on conventional 18-wheeler disposal methods.

Since Costco established its presence in Vermont with its inaugural location in Colchester back in 1992, our team has been integral to its evolution. Originally, the site housed Bio-Tech, which was demolished to make way for Vermont’s first and only Costco. The City of Cayce was hit hard by Hurricane Joaquin in 2015. The City’s Riverwalk was demolished by flooding and had closed the pedestrian areas to keep citizens safe. Our professional engineers designed a slope stabilization plan and provided hydraulic calculations.

The project started with preliminary engineering for PennDOT District 5-0 in 2010. There were several phases of the project in engineering, including an alternatives analysis, preliminary engineering, environmental clearance, and final design prior to the project advancing into construction.

SR 0415 Memorial Highway, Dallas 5-leg Intersection

Our firm was retained by PennDOT for the preliminary engineering and final design of the $3.5M “Dallas 5-Leg” intersection improvement project. This project was identified as a “high priority” project in the Back Mountain Area Council of Government’s Transportation Plan.

Cross Country Elementary and Middle School

Bowman was responsible for the MEP engineering for the new 95,000 sq. ft. state-of-the-art Elementary and Middle School. The new school will have three floors, equipped with cutting-edge science, art and music labs, even several mindfulness and communal spaces. The project was designed to achieve LEED Gold certification.

Kirk Road Reconstruction and Utility Relocation

Our team is currently preparing roadway design plans for the reconstruction of an 0.8-mile roadway segment on Kirk Road, from Summit Boulevard to Gun Club Road, in Unincorporated Palm Beach County.

Challenger Boulevard at Winkler Avenue Project

NW 31st Avenue Roadway Reconstruction LAP/JPA Project

Our team prepared design plans for a half-mile segment of NW 31st Avenue, from NW 39th Street to NW 44th Street. The City initiated this LAP/JPA (Joint Permit Application) project to implement complete streets, particularly to provide sidewalk along the east side, providing safer pedestrian access to transit stops.

Annual Services Traffic Signal Design

Our team completed multiple tasks on a Continuing Service Traffic Signal Design Contract with the Palm Beach County Traffic Division. Assignments included a school zone LAP project and preparation of traffic signal installation plans for multiple county intersections.

University of New Mexico Hospital

Our team was hired by UNMH to determine existing conditions within the proposed project limits. UAV-based imagery was generated for the immediate site and surrounding area comprised of approximately 143 acres of UNM North Campus.

Burlington North Santa Fe Railroad

Our team recently completed surveying and mapping of a large portion of the BNSF site in Belen, NM. The purpose of the survey was to determine existing conditions for several different future improvements contemplated at that facility.

UMD BioPark 4MLK Building

4MLK is the first of two new gateway buildings to be prominently located at the entrance of the research park. Bowman is responsible for the MEP design services for the first Gateway building, a 266,000 sq. ft. facility. The building is designed LEED Silver and exceeds ASHRAE 90.1-2010 by 20%.

Edison Multifamily

Our team was contracted to provide land surveying, civil design services, construction administration and construction staking for an apartment housing project containing 232 units – six story apartment building with a parking garage on the first floor.

Moana Springs Recreation Complex

The once vibrant and actively used ball park, known as the Moana Stadium, had become an eyesore in need of an overhaul. Thanks to the championing efforts of the Reno City Council, City staff and the Great Basin Youth Soccer League, the stadium was able to turn into a community asset.

Kendyl Depoali Middle School

The Kendyl Depoali Middle School is located on the southeast corner of Wilbur May and South Meadows Parkways. Our team developed preliminary and final landscape plans for this new middle school prototype developed for the Washoe County School District by Van Woert Bigotti Architects.

South Valleys Regional Park

Our team was responsible for the design (master planning and construction documents) and project management of an 83-acre park in the Southwest Truckee Meadows. The park incorporated parcels from different property owners. We assisted in the negotiations between the owners and Washoe County for the land dedication.

Silver Sage Senior Apartments

Silver Sage Senior Apartments is a senior-restricted development, available to residents age 55 and above. All of the units will be affordable to seniors at or below 50% of area median income. The project consists of 58 units on a 2-acre site directly east of the Neil Road Community Center and adjacent to the Mariposa Charter School.

Reno-Sparks Indian Colony Modular Classroom

The Fauna Facility Upgrade Project in Houston, Texas consisted of two phases, both of which centered on optimizing the tank to mainline flow. Phase I installed new piping from an existing surge relief system to the suction side of two existing mainline units. A new turbine meter, small volume prover, and new piping were installed downstream of the two existing mainline units.

American Castings Foundry Grounding Study

Our team conducted a grounding study of the 13.8 kV Substation Area. An overall ground resistance report was developed and the limitations discussed. The South Amboy Phase1 Apartments project is a new multi-family residential development, sited on 5.2 acres of land in South Amboy. This project includes 219 residential units within a 5-story building with two exterior amenity spaces. Both amenity spaces are situated at the second floor. The eastern courtyard is the active amenity space and includes multiple seating areas, a fire table, high table communal dining with pergola above, a large panel of lawn for sunbathing, three private dining and grilling areas and a private living room area with an outdoor television.

Fairfield Apartments is a new multi-family residential site, situated on 5 acres of land in Fairfield. The project includes 99 residential units within three 4-story buildings and clubhouse with an exterior amenity space. Kushner Academy Athletic Fields

Bowman provided civil engineering, landscape architecture and surveying services to the Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy for the redesign of their recreational fields and playground areas. Our team of landscape architects planned and designed the landscape for the 139 unit senior housing project including ten casita homes. The ten acre site, located in the Carmel Valley community of San Diego, is repurposing the existing equestrian center to become a residential care facility. Meadowood is a large residential planned community in northern San Diego County consisting of approximately 400 acres. The project includes 76 affordable senior apartments and eight permanent supportive housing studios for formerly homeless seniors. The overall project includes 194 total units with 118 market rate units. The complex is sustainable, transit- oriented and mixed-income friendly. Retained to conduct routine inspection of Philadelphia Energy Solution’s 3.5 miles of refinery waterfront along the Schuylkill River. The waterfront consisted of nine wharves, 22 steel sheet pile bulkhead sections (approximately 8,000 LF of bulkhead) and six categories of miscellaneous structures.

Walking Bridge Replacement

Bowman provided damage investigation, claim support, design, permitting, material procurement, and engineering support services during the construction of a approximately 104 FT span walking bridge to replace a pile bent supported walkway that was damaged by an aberrant barge at this petroleum facility.

PBF Logistics Construction Inspection

The project involves construction of two mooring dolphins to tie up ships up to 750 ft long (LOA) and other associated construction work. Such construction work starts with the installation of falsework (temporary steel framing) to be able to install production piles at accurate locations and angles in the waterway.

ASARCO Ray Mine PLS Tank Repair

PLS is stored in a stainless steel lined concrete tank at the ASARCO Ray Mine. During construction, the tank was inspected by several techniques but approximately 35 leaks were detected and attributed to defective and substandard welds. Bowman was asked to inspect and catalog the weld where leaks developed and to work with a specialized welding firm to implement a plan to repair the tank permanently.

Arundel Elementary School

A new ±113,000 sq. ft. elementary school (Pre K-2 Grade) with student capacity of 636. The team provided mechanical, plumbing and fire protection design. The scope included all new HVAC system, nine variable refrigerant systems and three single zone VAV rooftop units.

Wheaton Woods Elementary School

A new elementary school is designed to accommodate 740 students. Westchester Park Apartment Tower – Chiller Plant Upgrade

Upon completion of a study for upgrading a dilapidated chilled water plant for our client and building owner, Hampshire Properties, Bowman was tasked with implementing the recommended solution. Bowman provided the concrete slabs, foundations, and anchor designs for new infrastructure for the expansion of the Hydromet area to allow the SX/EW facili-ties to handle increased throughput. This work included the structural design and drawings, identifying civil components such as tops of concrete on footings and slabs, ensuring drainage to the existing drain sump and the addition of a contain-ment curb to improve capture of spills.

Confidential Haul Road Culverts

As a result of a new pit being developed at the mine, a haul road was developed from the pit to the existing crushing facility. Bowman designed six (6) culverts that allow stormwater to flow under the new haul road.

County Road 804

Grand County, Winter Park Ranch Water and Sanitation District, and the Town of Fraser had a common interest in completing infrastructure improvements in County Road 804, including a new storm sewer system, a water main replacement, and improvements to the existing road surface and new road striping.

Central Tri-State Tollway Improvements

Bowman was responsible for Phase I and Phase II design for the Open Road Tolling Program, roadway widening, bridge widening, and toll and interchange ramp modifications on the I-294 tollway. Bowman worked closely with Illinois Tollway during Phase I and Phase II.

Lake Shore Drive Viaducts

Suffolk, Isle of Wight and Southampton Counties, VA

Bowman provided Phase II design services for the replacement of the Lake Shore Drive (US 41) Viaducts over Lawrence Avenue and Wilson Avenue. Both roadways will be reconstructed to provide minimum vertical clearance under US 41 as well as a new typical section to accommodate shared bicycle lanes.

Route 229

Culpeper, VA

Bowman provided project management of the right-of-way and easement acquisition efforts and negotiations for 51 parcels to widen Route 229’s existing two-lane roadway to a four-lane roadway and provide curb and gutter, sidewalk, and a 10-foot shared-use path.

Route 460 Corridor Improvement Project

This VDOT project includes construction of 55 miles of four-lane divided limited access highway. The project will be tolled with funds used to pay for project costs. The project also includes design of intermediate interchanges at four major crossroads. The project made it to 15% before getting canceled by VDOT.

Safer Access Road Mapping

Bowman worked closely with our client to deliver detailed laser mapping serviced with our unmanned surveying drone. The project site was a multi-mile thoroughfare of extreme terrain that is mostly inaccessible by traditional survey techniques. Tri-State Tollway (I-294) Reconstruction, Mile Long Bridge

The Mile Long Bridge is a critical piece of infrastructure to the Central Tri-State Tollway (I-294) corridor as it carries drivers over two major railroads, three water sources and local roads, and over a major distribution center for UPS and Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway. La Cima is a 2,031-acre master-planned residential development consists of approximately 2,000 single-family lots, a 200-acre commercial area, an elementary school, an amenity center, many wastewater lift stations, a water storage tank, and multiple detention ponds.

Bowman provided planning, surveying, engineering, and environmental services on this project. Scope of work included the development of a site plan with a parking area layout, preparation of a special use permit plan and plat, a boundary survey, an environmental constraints analysis, a perennial flow determination, support of a cultural resource analysis, and a traffic management plan for the site.

Lake Worth Drainage District E-3 Canal Rehab

Bowman provided canal right-of-way mapping and staking services for approximately 20 miles of canals as part of the Lake Worth Drainage District Canal Rehabilitation Program. The project consisted of staking the right-of-way lines along several Lake Worth Drainage District canals.

Ken Lawrence Stream Valley Trail

Bowman provided full service engineering, environmental, surveying and construction administration for the restoration of 800 lf of degraded stream valley, installation of 1,000 lf of new trails, and a 30 foot long pedestrian bridge crossing, as well as the first two synthetic turf fields in Tysons Virginia.

The proposed Fox Gate development is located on 19 acres alongside Route 50 near the Fairfax County line. The project consists of approximately 600,000 sq. ft. of mixed-use space including office, retail, civic, and residential uses.

Gas Main Installations and Bridge Support

Westmoreland County, VA

5-acre 2,100 solar panel array located on existing Elementary School property produces 1.2 megawatts a year, offset-ting the facilities carbon footprint by 865 tons of CO2. This project is part of a Power Purchase Agreement with Sun-Tribe Solar which resulted in no investment from the County and estimated to save $3.6 million over the solar array’s lifespan. Bowman provided comprehensive engineering and surveying services.

County Road 8 – Bridge over Fraser River

Fraser, CO

Phase I and II services for replacement of existing steel beam bridge at County Road 8 and the Fraser River, originally constructed in 1979. A bridge hydraulic report and scour analysis were prepared for this project. Proposed structure is 47 feet wide with span of 46 feet Prestressed Precast Concrete (PPC) Deck Beams with a 6-inch cast-in-place concrete slab, founded on pile bent abutments.

Bowman provided professional design and platting services for a 30-acre cultural theme center. The team was responsible for the layout and design of public infrastructure including roads, utilities and underground stormwater retention.

Claiborne Parkway Extension

Bowman prepared a traffic impact analysis, travel demand forecasting, traffic signal warrant analysis, preliminary traffic signal design plan, and provided public involvement support for the 4,000 LF extension of Claiborne Parkway in Loudoun County. The project was locally administered by the County’s Office of Transportation Services, and Bowman also provided survey, environmental permitting services, and roadway and drainage design for the entire project.

Bowman provided a multi-faceted planning, analysis, and design scheme to redevelop a declining 200,000 sq. ft. community shopping center. Confidential Conveyor Corridor

A new leach pad is being developed to meet the needs of a new pit. A major earthwork project was undertaken to link the existing conveyor system to the new leach pad. As part of this project, Bowman provided temporary traffic control and temporary road designs as well as engineered drawings, specifications, construction scopes of work, and bid packages for the earthwork and new traffic underpass.

Confidential Early Mine Water Supply

Bowman developed a water distribution plan to provide potable and construction water to thhis project. This included the design of wells, impoundments, booster stations, overland pipelines and storage facilities. The first stage of this system currently operates at 650 psi and transports water over 2 miles.

Confidential Stormwater Diversions and Culverts

Bowman designed three stormwater diversions to protect a leach pad. These diversions required the engineering design of several structures including channels, levees, energy dissipation structures and box culverts. In conjunction with these designs, Bowman developed method specifications for compaction and a design for soil cement that utilized the material sourced from the channel excavation.

Clifton Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant

Bowman provided a PER and Design to replace a trickling filter Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) with a new 200,000 gpd Moving Bed Biological Reactor (MBBR) treatment plant installed inside of the existing concrete treatment tank. Design elements included rehabilitation of the existing influent pump station and existing operations building, a standby generator, and demolition of existing WWTP components. Chessie’s Trail: Lee District Park

Bowman provided planning, engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, and environmental consulting services within the 120-acre Lee District Park as part of the Family Recreation Area Spray Park and Accessible Tree House and Chessie Trail development. The accessible trails and tree house project had significant topographic and tree preservation challenges.

Clarks Branch Bridge Riverbend Park

Bowman provided watershed analysis, preliminary and final engineering design, environmental investigation and permitting, surveying and construction documentation, for design and installation of the 90 foot span hiker/equestrian bridge span over the Clark’s Branch tributary.

Bruce Avenue Drainage Project

Bowman provided planning, surveying and design services to the City of Colonial Heights for the Phase III and IV drainage and utility improvement plans of the Bruce Avenue Drainage Improvements project. This project included approximately 6,500 linear feet of city streets. The scope of the project included complete water, sanitary sewer and storm sewer replacement. The project also involved substantial excavation of the roadways within the ROW limits and rebuilding of new asphalt sections and curb and gutter.

Bowman provided its core planning and surveying services to design a complex extension of multiple large pipelines. The project was further challenged by sensitive environmental areas, tight easements, existing infrastructure, and ongoing mining activities.

Caldwell Park is a 120-acre mixed-use development that includes 115 single-family lots, 131 townhomes and 286 apartments, along with 200,000 sq. ft. of commercial space. Bowman team designed and planned a 900 plus unit residential subdivision as well as public road and utility infrastructure. Bowman provided surveying, land planning, and engineering services. Given the unique nature of this car wash project it required an analysis of both automobile and pedestrian circulation patterns within the site to ensure safety of users and the public. Cape Canaveral Air Force Station Fire Water Line Repair

Brevard County, FL

Bowman provided site constriction survey and stakeout support for an active drilling operation consisted of four directional drill sites and approximately 9,300 LF of fire suppression transmission water line. The team was required to provide near real time analysis of alignments and adjust to various site conditions and client constraints.

Cast Iron Pipe Replacement Program

Bowman was hired as a primary engineering consultant, and completed the design, engineering and permitting for 17 miles of pipeline replacement. The majority of the designs were in major metropolitan cities or urban areas, with significant construction conflicts of other underground utilities. Included in the designs were the tie-in details, by-pass details, complete bill of materials, and service connections.

Broadway Water Treatment Plant

Broadway, VA

Bowman provided major upgrades to the Town of Broadway’s Water Treatment Plant. The upgrades included the installation of a state of the art 1.8MGD Pall Corp. MF membrane treatment system in a new concrete filtration building, upgraded and automated chemical feed systems, a 100,000-gallon well storage tank, and a 350,000-gallon finished water clear well.

Catlett – Calverton Wastewater System

Fauquier, VA

Bowman partnered with English Construction for this Design-Build project for a central wastewater collection, treatment and disposal system to serve the service districts of Catlett and Calverton. The project includes a new collection system consisting of individual Septic Tank Effluent Pump (STEP) systems that transfer wastewater to a 80,000 gpd central wastewater treatment plant utilizing an Integrated Fixed Film Activated Sludge (FAS) technology. Effluent will be disposed of through the use of subsurface drip irrigation drain fields.

Bowen Solar Farm

Calvert County, MD

Bowman provided a detailed topographic survey and preliminary engineering services to facilitate initial discussions with Calvert County officials and included a concept plan to illustrate the improvements relating to the proposed solar panels.

Bradley and Carter Solar Farm

Bowman prepared ALTA/ACSM surveys, detailed topographic survey including necessary road frontage surveying. Approximately 25 acres of topography were required on the Bradley farm site, and approximately 35 acres of topography were required on the Carter farm site, as a minimum 75-foot overlap around the perimeter.

Bowman provided civil engineering, landscape architecture and surveying services for the second phase of this large redevelopment project consisting of multi-family housing with 157 townhouses and 176 apartment units, and an amphitheater and shade structure overlooking the Delaware River.

The project included the development of a retirement village with 1,500 independent living units and 512 assisted living and extended skilled care units located within 16 buildings on 232 acres.

Austin Regional Clinic

City of Kyle, TX

This project, situated on approximately 2.48 acres, includes medical offices, a coffee shop, and an associated parking lot. Bowman provided site plan preparation including grading, paving, drainage, on site water and wastewater lines design and parking requirements. This was the first site plan in the City of Kyle with zero set back lines. Bowman helped to introduce this new urban development concept to the City.

Avenue at South Orange

South Orange, NJ

This innovative transit oriented project consists of 79 residential units and ground floor retail. Bowman provided oversight and planning for the initial demolition of the building as well as site plan/design, land surveying, and coordination with adjacent supermarket, restaurant, and bank to create driveway access and sufficient parking for the property. Bowman also provided landscape architecture services, to include streetscape design.

Ballie Trust Pipeline

Butler County, PA

Bowman provided its core planning, survey, and design services to deliver a pipeline expansion project on a very tight deadline. The team had to navigate environmental sensitive areas, state and federal permitting requirements, endangered animals, and changing landowner consents.

A Planned Area Development was previously approved for the stadium, practice facilities and basic infrastructure, which are currently in operation. Bowman provided multiple drone-based laser survey scans to analyze and monitor ongoing beach improvements. The team worked closely with FAA and local authorities for permitted exemptions to operate in prohibited drone areas.

Bowman provided on-call services to Fairfax Countys Stormwater Planning Division. With this study, Bowman’s team prepared a schematic design for potential park features, developed base mapping to determine development constraints and the boundaries of environmental overlay districts using GIS data, and identified potential access locations and existing public utilities. Bickford South Eby Senior Living Facility

Bowman performed due diligence and land use entitlement services for this 60-unit senior living facility including boundary and topographic surveys, due diligence and preliminary engineering, a preliminary traffic assessment, final site plan preparation and construction plans, and land acquisition transaction services, including an ALTA/ACSM Land Title survey, lead and asbestos survey, easement plats, VSMP General Permit and SWPPP, and subdivision platting.

Biltmore Shadows

Bowman delivered a planning package for a compact 10-lot infill development including the design of public and private utilities and underground retention storage. The team also helped navigate burdensome development building codes to ensure compliance.

Block 37 Site Improvements

Beaver & Butler Counties, PA

Bowman provided civil engineering services and preparation of construction documents in conjunction with the de-velopment of a mixed-use retail/entertainment, CTA transit station, office and retail project. The project consisted of approximately 400,000 sq. ft. above-grade retail and entertainment uses housed on four levels and approximately 100,000 sq. ft. of Class A office building housing a new 17-story facility for CBS Broadcasting.

Bloomfield College Residence Hall

Bloomfield, NJ

This project consisted of the design of a four-story, 83,000 sq. ft. residence hall centrally located on the campus of Bloomfield College. Bowman provided its core planning, surveying, and civil design services to facility the construction of a new campus multi-function area. The team’s role included land surveying, planning and feasibility studies, site plan development, preparation of construction documents, and construction administration and observation.

Bluestone to Sunoco Pipeline

Bowman provided planning, survey, and design services included pipeline and right-of-way design, project coordination with routing, land agents, environmental, archeological, and geotechnical sub-consultants, construction and surveying, and preparation of construction documents including major horizontal drilling designs for numerous interstate highway, road and railroad crossings, creeks and wetlands.

Border Patrol Indoor Firing Range

Nogales, AZ

Bowman provided surveying, civil engineering design, construction stakeout, and construction administration services for the U.S. Border Patrol station in Nogales, Arizona. The installation of the new modular facility included re-grading the existing site, delivering supporting water and sewer line extensions, and an expansion and repaving of the existing parking lot.

Blackstone

Aurora, CO

This Lennar community of 232 single family homes is situated adjacent to the prestigious Blackstone Country Club. Bowman reprocessed all entitlements which had expired for this legacy community. Construction documents included extensive coordination with the existing golf course and design of a hilltop playground and recreation area.

Avalon Wharton

Wharton, NJ

This six-story, luxury apartment complex consists of 248 units on 8.5 acres. Amenities include outdoor courtyards, swimming pool, and a fitness facility. Bowman provided a boundary and topographic survey of the site, preliminary and final site plans, which included a stormwater management report, and conducted a traffic impact study.

3 Olive Park

Peoria, AZ

Bowman provided planning and preliminary design services for a 158-lot single family residential subdivision on a 40 acre site. Bowman provided land planning and entitlement services including PAD, General Plan Amendment and Preliminary Design documents. The team also worked closely with City planning officials to incorporate future infrastructure expansions into the project’s design.

31 & 32 Laurens Street

Bowman has partnered with Southern Land Company to provide civil engineering and survey services for the development of the Society at Laurens – a luxury, mid-rise apartment community with 148 apartment units located in Charleston, South Carolina, The community will also include a resort style pool, lounge, fitness center, and business center.

55th Street Reconstruction

Various Locations, IL

Phase II design engineering services for the widening and resurfacing of 1.75 miles of 55th Street to address safety and operational needs and to provide expanded pedestrian. The closed drainage sys-tem will be upgraded with new trunk sewers and drainage structures and includes the extension of a 4’x4’ box culvert.

75th Street Intersection Improvements

Naperville, IL

Phase I Engineering Services to evaluate four intersections to identify improvements that will address the accident history, increase the safety of the intersections, and create continuity throughout the corridor while minimizing impacts to the operational characteristics of the intersections. Includes Intersection Design Studies, Drainage Technical Memo and preparation of a Project Development Report for 75th Street.

Academies of Loudoun

Bowman was responsible for the land planning feasibility and commission permit legislative process, landscape architecture, arboriculture, civil engineering, environmental, and surveying services for Loudoun’s 320,000 sq. ft. premier STEM education facility combining the Academies of Science, Monroe Advanced Technical Academy, and the Academy of Engineering and Technology.

Albemarle County Economic Development Site Evaluation

Albemarle County, VA

Bowman provided engineering services to evaluate the site readiness and economic development suitability of nine properties located within the County-designated growth area to evaluate their po-tential for economic development and the value that Bowman can create through the quantification of site development needs such as entitlements, permits, soils, environmental features, surveys and available infrastructure.

Bowman provided its core planning, surveying, and civil design serves to deliver a mixed-used development on 701 acres. The team was challenged to incorporate elements of includes retail, office, multi-family, townhome, and single family uses in a tight and topographically constrained site.

Alexis Wind Farm

Alexis, IL

Bowman established the primary geodetic control network consisting of 20 control monuments throughout a 70,000 acre wind farm development in Western Illinois. Bowman used GPS static observations and advanced post-processing adjustments to establish NAD83 horizontal and NGVD88 vertical datum to support the boundary survey and ALTA/ACSM Land Title Survey and future construction stakeout for this wind farm.

Amazon Building (Project Rook)

Prince George's County, MD

Bowman provided various professional services for this 346,400 sq. ft. warehouse and was responsible for the planning and design of stormwater management, storm drain layouts, water and sanitary sew-er alignments, erosion and sediment control staging, permitting, as well as retrofit design for storm-water pond conversion.

America Online Campus

Dulles, VA

Bowman was responsible for the design of a major portion of this 216-acre HQ campus and provided extensive records research; as-built surveys for sanitary sewer main and service line; storm sewer, water main, secondary service line; fiber optic duct bank; irrigation line; and gas main and secondary service line location surveys, as well as telecommunications; and primary and secondary service electric line surveys.

American Furniture Warehouse

Glendale, AZ

Bowman provided a combination full scope development services starting with the initial survey, through design, and ultimate construction support. The team delivered engineering design services to including boundary verification, topographic analysis, and site improvements. The project required extensive coordination with local and state authorities during the design and permitting processes.

Andrews Air Force Base Family Housing

Bowman prepared demolition plans for areas proposed for redevelopment of residential units and future commercial and office uses. Scope included preliminary engineering design, layout and grading of roadways and housing units, utility design, stormwater management, topographic and improvement surveys, and an ALTA/ACSM land title survey. Technical review and quality control of final engineering documents were also provided.

Arbor Terrace

Arbor Terrace provides 82 residential units for assisted living within a new three-story building and includes the construction of new internal paved access drives and parking areas throughout the site.
