Our team provided landscape architecture services for the beautification of South Fry Road in Harris County, TX. The project goal was to elevate and improve the aesthetics along the public right-of-way that stretches along the south side of IH-10 between South Fry Road to Yorkway Drive and covers nearly 15 acres.
This project included the addition of accent entry walls and landscape with irrigation, planter pots at the intersection, new street trees to line the road, and pedestrian lighting along the existing sidewalk. Extensive coordination was required with the Home Owner’s Association, Harris County MUD 346, TxDOT, and Harris County for project approvals.
Tasks included conceptual design, construction plans and bidding, and construction phase services. The project was completed on schedule with less than 3.5% change orders required. Our landscape team was then selected to manage the design and construction of this design theme for the Greenhouse and Barker Cypress intersections. This project won a 2021 award from the Texas Association of Water Board Directors. It received first place recognition in the Division I Category – Landscaping, Parks and Trails
