Bowman staff has provided design engineering services for the City of Chicago for more than 200 sewer improvements for 25 years. These projects, performed on a task-order basis, are located throughout the City of Chicago. Sewer sizes have varied from small diameter to 15-feet by 12-feet monolithic concrete sewers.
The scope of services involves preparation of plans, specifications & estimates for the sewer improvement program. Work includes data collection and initial assessments, coordination of survey and geotechnical engineering, utility coordination, sewer alignments and profiles, structural design, compliance with IEPA water sewer separation requirements, cross sections/typical sections, traffic control and detours, surface drainage design, OUC submittals and approvals, permitting, constructability reviews, IEPA bid packaging, and Quality Assurance/Quality Control.
