Bowman investigated the groundwater and surface water relationships for a proposed mining site, which included an upland wetland system and surface drainage within the drainage basin. Completed a field mapping investigation, fracture trace analysis, wetland water budget analysis, and conducted in-situ hydraulic conductivity testing of several borings to evaluate the potential of draining the wetlands during the proposed mining effort. Developed a monitoring plan to evaluate groundwater and surface water impacts due to mining and evaluated mitigation measures to correct the potential problems that may arise from mining.
