Our team delivered engineering and permitting services for a state-of-the-art, 200 MW battery energy storage system (BESS). Spanning approximately 10 acres, the project incorporates advanced design and infrastructure features to support grid stability and enhance regional energy reliability.
The scope of services included grading and drainage design with integrated stormwater controls, ensuring resilience and compliance with environmental regulations. Our team also developed a comprehensive Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SWPPP) and implemented advanced erosion and sediment control measures, protecting local waterways during construction and long-term operation.
Civil design responsibilities extended beyond the site, with public street improvements designed to improve accessibility and community integration. The facility also features an on-site substation, enabling seamless energy distribution and supporting grid flexibility as renewable energy deployment accelerates.
Through a combination of hydrology expertise, civil and structural precision and regulatory coordination, our team helped deliver a next-generation storage solution that supports California’s clean energy goals while providing reliable infrastructure benefits for the surrounding community.
