Bowman was engaged by The Vecino Group to provide full-service civil engineering and landscape architecture services for Birdsong Phoenix, an award-winning net-zero apartment community in Phoenix, AZ.
During preliminary engineering, we led the site plan, grading and drainage design, utility layout and city-required reports. We also handled submittals and approvals, keeping things on schedule and within budget. Key deliverables included drainage reports, utility and fire line plans, all coordinated with city departments for a smooth review process.
Final engineering work included grading, paving and utility plans, plus stormwater pollution prevention and offsite improvements. We worked closely with The Vecino Group to develop flexible, efficient solutions that aligned with the project’s net-zero energy goals.
The result: a sustainable, community-focused development that earned an Award of Merit in Engineering News-Record’s 2025 Mountain States & Southwest Best Projects.
