Jay Peak Resort

Jay, VT

Bowman provided survey and civil and site design services for Hotel Jay and the Pump House indoor water park, supporting a major resort expansion within a constrained mountain setting. The project required thoughtful coordination of grading, drainage and infrastructure design to integrate new facilities with existing parking areas and site conditions.

A key component of Bowman’s work was the design of a stormwater management system that treats runoff from both the new development and existing parking areas. The system incorporates storm drains, pretreatment tanks, a constructed wetland and more than 50,000 cu. ft. of underground storage, responding to the site’s mountain terrain and complex horizontal and vertical design requirements.

During construction, Bowman provided survey layout for key structural components, hotel steel, water slides and water park attractions. Bowman has continued to support Jay Peak through additional resort improvement projects, including roadway design, chair lift upgrades, golf center improvements and work associated with the Stateside Hotel & Base Lodge.
