Bowman provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing design engineering for the interior renovation of the 113,237 sq. ft. training facility, as well as a 46,000 sq. ft., two-story addition to the Baltimore Raven’s Under Armour Performance Center located in Owings Mills, Maryland. The LEED Gold certified project includes a combination of administrative and executive office spaces, conference rooms, players’ meeting rooms, training rooms, locker rooms, media room, player/personnel dining, a broadcast studio, and a large auditorium. The facility is also designed to support approximately 3,500 fans attending daily practices during training camp.
Highlights of the project include the following:
- Renovation/Expansion of domestic hot water production, serving showers, laundry, and commercial kitchen
- Fire protection and sprinkler system design
- Water conservation fixtures for locker rooms and restrooms.
- New Schneider Integrated Control System, including HVAC, incoming electric service voltage monitoring, emergency generators, exterior lighting, interior lighting, window sash services, and rain/snow services
- Energy savings features including window sash position sensors for local HVAC unit shutdown with advanced alerts at the BAS
- $42K rebate from BGE for lighting/control incentives
