BlueHalo

Herndon, VA

Bowman provided mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) engineering services for the BlueHalo project in Herndon, Virginia. Working in collaboration with FORM Architects, our team delivered comprehensive MEP design for approximately 19,700 sq. ft. of office space tailored to support the client’s operational and technological needs.

Bowman’s work spanned two floors configured to foster collaboration and functionality. The partial first floor included a large work room, training room and dedicated server rooms, while the full second floor featured a spacious pantry and café, numerous private offices and open work areas, a network operations center and additional conference and reception spaces.

The LAN and server rooms were equipped with computer room air conditioning (CRAC) units connected to the building’s glycol system to ensure efficient temperature and humidity control. Open work areas featured exposed ceilings with curved lighting fixtures that complemented the modern design of the entry and café. The overall engineering approach emphasized functionality, efficiency and compliance with project security and performance standards to support high-tech operations.
