The City of Cayce was hit hard by Hurricane Joaquin in 2015. The City’s Riverwalk was demolished by flooding and had closed the pedestrian areas to keep citizens safe. We worked with AOS Specialty Contractors at the Cayce Riverwalk to verifying structural plans and provide structural calculations. Our professional engineers designed a slope stabilization plan and provided hydraulic calculations. The gabion basket design armored the banks to prevent future erosion. After the storm many of the structural components were washed out and needed complete repair. Our team worked with the contractor and City to quickly aid in the necessary fixes. After design, we were a constant resource on site as we completed inspections and testing.
