Bowman provided commissioning services for the 20th CBRNE (Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives) headquarters facility. Design included renovating existing buildings 5016 and 5046, totaling 94,472 sq. ft. and 92,006 sq. ft. to provide a command suite with offices, a SCIF, arms room, operations center, conference rooms, file and functions of a standard command and control facility. Both buildings are designed to be LEED Silver certified.
Commissioning services included review of Owner Project Requirements (OPR), review of design intent documents, preparation of the commissioning plan, commissioning specifications, shop drawing review and approval, construction coordination/commissioning meeting, validation of proper and thorough installation of Division 22, 23, and 26 systems and equipment, mechanical systems balancing verification, Functional Performance Testing (FTP) of MEP systems, FPT of control sequences, documentation of tests/procedures/installations, documentation of O&M procedures, sequencing of HVAC plumbing and electrical systems commissioning work, preparation of final commissioning report, review of O&M Manual, and development of Commissioning Systems Manual.
