Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is expanding capacity under its 2016 Master Plan, a program built to improve operational efficiency and support future growth in passenger and cargo traffic. As part of that effort, the Fourth Parallel Runway Program includes construction of a new 10,000-foot-long by 150-foot-wide runway along with the South End-Around Taxiway.
Bowman provided survey and field verification services in support of this work. The team’s scope included as-built surveys, control verification and construction staking, along with survey support for utility relocations, including water main work along ARFF Road and structural elements such as retaining walls and visual screens.
Bowman’s involvement spanned the program from initial construction staking through final as-built documentation.
