Bowman performed two roadway improvement initiatives for CR 266 in San Marcos. In support of site engineering for the new San Marcos High School, Bowman designed and permitted improvements to a 1.2-mile section of CR 266 between McCarty Lane and SH 123. Bowman provided drainage design, land surveying and environmental services for roadway improvements to an additional 1.9-mile section of CR 266 from Centerpoint Road to Francis Harris Lane.
Initial phase roadway modifications included road widening, revised signage and pavement markings in the school zone, roadside drainage improvements, and the addition of a 12″ water line along the roadway. Bowman coordinated with utility providers, project neighbors, and with TxDOT to facilitate reconstruction of the intersection of CR 266 at SH 123. Second phase drainage investigations include hydrologic/hydraulic analyses and culvert and channel design. For both phases, land surveying services included right-of-entry procurement, design survey (tree and topography), and parcel maps development for ROW acquisition.
