Bowman provided land surveying and civil engineering services for Dominion Power’s Elizabeth City, North Carolina headquarters. Bowman engineers were tasked with addressing existing drainage problems on this site, which is prone to flooding. Water drains onto the site from an adjacent retail development. The 8.6 acre site is located in a sensitive Pasquotank County drainage-way and had site access problems due to existing pavement grades; the problems were corrected with this project. Located along US Route 17, the project consists of an existing 20,000 sq. ft. office building and other storage buildings and lay-down areas, as well as an existing pond and infiltration basin.
