Bowman completed an environmental sound assessment to support permitting for a 34-acre life of mine expansion, including extended operating hours and modifications to mining methods. The study was prepared for submission to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NY DEC) and the Adirondack Park Agency.
The team conducted long-term ambient noise monitoring to establish baseline conditions, evaluated equipment sound power levels and developed predictive sound propagation models to assess operational impacts. The results provided a clear understanding of potential noise effects and supported compliance with regulatory requirements, helping advance project approvals
