Bowman provided landscape architecture, planning, engineering, surveying and environmental consulting services within the 120-acre Lee District Park which included the multi-phased development of the Family Recreation Area and Our Special Harbor Spray Park, Accessible Tree House, and Chessie’s Trail. Phase I included an ADA-accessible tree house overlooking a woodland forest and stream valley. Phase II included a 7,000 sq. ft. , zero-depth accessible water spray park, restroom facility, expanded parking lots, utility upgrades and innovative stormwater management facilities. Phase III brought to the Family Recreation Area a picnic area with shelters, and the woodland-themed interactive “Chessie’s Trail.” Phase IV included the custom designed 28-ft. diameter, bay-themed, and ADA-accessible carousel.
