Bowman completed an environmental sound assessment for a 58-acre life of mine expansion to evaluate existing conditions and understand how future operations could affect the surrounding area. The team conducted ambient noise monitoring to establish baseline sound levels, then analyzed expected equipment noise and developed models to predict operational impacts.
Based on the results, Bowman identified potential noise concerns and recommended practical mitigation strategies to reduce impacts and support compliance. The final report was submitted to the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NY DEC) and the Adirondack Park Agency to support the permitting and approval process.
