This project included the design and permitting of the National Flight Academy and exhibit hanger at the Museum of Naval Aviation on board Pensacola Naval Air Station. The project was originally designed by our team in 2005 as an addition to the existing museum, but due to budgetary constraints it was revised to include a five story, 99,376 sq. ft. building for the National Flight Academy and a single story exhibition hanger of approximately 55,198 sq. ft. 50 asphalt parking spaces were designed east of the new building for employee parking as well as a public space between the two new structures. Our services included construction staking for the new building, as well as, design, preparation of plans and specifications, stormwater and utility permitting, and construction monitoring.
