Bowman was awarded the right-of-way acquisition contract from VDOT to provide project management of the right-of-way and easement acquisition efforts and negotiations for 51 parcels. The Route 229 project will widen the existing two-lane roadway to a four-lane roadway and provide curb and gutter, sidewalk, and a 10-foot shared-use path.
