Scarlet Solar and BESS

Fresno County, CA

Our team supported the development of a 2,600-acre, multi-phase solar and battery energy storage system (BESS). The project combines 400 MW of solar generation with 120 MW of storage, advancing large-scale renewable deployment and contributing to California’s clean energy goals.

The scope included site mapping, hydrology studies and grading and drainage design to optimize energy generation while ensuring compliance with local environmental standards. Stormwater and permitting support were integrated throughout design to streamline regulatory approvals.

Civil design services featured an Operations & Maintenance (O&M) facility with ADA-compliant parking, as well as well pump and septic systems to support facility operations. Each phase of the project incorporates a dedicated BESS yard, designed to enhance grid reliability and ensure flexible energy distribution.

Structural engineering services provided durable and cost-effective foundation systems for equipment and fencing, reinforcing long-term operational stability. By combining multidisciplinary expertise, our team delivered a comprehensive renewable infrastructure solution that balances energy production, storage capacity and operational needs.
