Bowman has been a key partner for Verizon Wireless for the last two decades, providing full-service architectural and engineering (A/E) services more than 1,000 sites across the South, Central and Midwest United States.
Most notably, Bowman was tasked with modifying an existing tower foundation in a crowded location atop an underground mine in Marengo, IN. By working closely with local geotechnical experts and mine owners, Bowman developed a cost-effective rock anchor solution, eliminating downtime for carriers and ensuring the continued functionality of the site.
Bowman also provides structural engineering for Verizon telecom towers, including self-support, guyed, monopole, smokestack, rooftops, water tanks and antenna mounts. Strength analyses were performed for each structure, considering factors like wind, wind with ice and seismic forces. Bowman also supplied site grading, layout optimization and drainage system design to ensure the seamless integration a telecom towers into the surrounding environments.
Additional services include structural steel modification design, foundation analysis, survey, geotechnical support.
