Team members from Bowman’s Exton, Pennsylvania, office recently rolled up their sleeves and spent an afternoon volunteering at the Chester County Food Bank’s Springton Manor Farm, harvesting fresh vegetables for individuals and families experiencing food insecurity.
Located within the 300-acre Springton Manor county park in Glenmoore, the Food Bank’s portion of the farm serves as a hub for growing fresh produce while providing hands-on volunteer and educational opportunities. The site includes a greenhouse for seedling production, a year-round high tunnel, raised garden beds and nearly an acre of cultivated fields where volunteers help grow and harvest vegetables throughout the season.
Through volunteer efforts like this one, Bowman’s employees continue to support local initiatives that strengthen communities and make a tangible difference beyond the workplace.
