Chessie’s Trail: Lee District Park

Bowman provided planning, engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, and environmental consulting services within the 120-acre Lee District Park as part of the Family Recreation Area Spray Park and Accessible Tree House and Chessie Trail development. The accessible trails and tree house project had significant topographic and tree preservation challenges.

Ballpark Village

A Planned Area Development was previously approved for the stadium, practice facilities and basic infrastructure, which are currently in operation. The remaining parcels of land surrounding the facilities remain vacant. Bowman provided engineering and surveying services to support a proposed land use change from intense office to medium- and high-density residential for 60 acres of property in the southern portion of the project.

Beaverdam Reservoir

With this study, Bowman’s team prepared a schematic design for potential park features, developed base mapping to determine development constraints and the boundaries of environmental overlay districts using GIS data, and identified potential access locations and existing public utilities. The information was to be used for development of a conceptual facility layout.
