The initiative was focused on increasing reliability and resiliency, establishing a new Central Utility Plant (CUP), consolidating campus electric utility services and creating a modern, campus-wide microgrid.
As part of an ongoing five-year partnership, our team provided data center and critical operations consulting, serving as a liaison between the client’s real estate team, IT operations group and third-party facility operators. We conducted reliability and risk reviews, evaluated both capital and operational expenditures and delivered designs that enhanced reliability and operational efficiency.
Serving as the owner’s IT project manager, our team acts as the eyes and ears of Mass General Brigham’s internal IT and engineering divisions on a new clinical facility for Massachusetts General Hospital. The team ensures that all low voltage infrastructure is properly designed and fully coordinated across disciplines to support this mission critical healthcare environment.
Our team was engaged directly by a confidential financial services client to serve as the engineer of record for tenant improvement design and construction administration in a new four-story office building. Services included mechanical, lighting, power, fire alarm and fire protection design. In collaboration with the owner, developer, core-shell design team and the project’s architect and interior designer, the team provided Engineering Management Services (EMS) during the core-shell design phase.
Our team provided program and project management along with electrical, mechanical, plumbing and fire protection engineering services for this this confidential health insurance client, implementing a 2015 master plan for a strategic series of upgrades needed to maintain the data center’s resiliency.
Bowman was engaged by the MBTA for a four-year, $7M contract to plan, design and construct a wide range of bus system infrastructure projects to further upgrade and enhance bus system accessibility, safety, state of good repair, service reliability, travel times, and system wide expansion.
