Bowman provided topographic, physical and boundary surveying services, as well as civil engineering services including grading, drainage, and erosion & sediment control. The team was challenged to design with existing drainage problems in an area prone to flooding.

Connell Solar L’Oreal Headquarters

Bowman obtained land use approvals for this LEED Gold Certified headquarters. The project sits on 12.83 acres and included the installation of over 21,000 sq. ft. of rooftop solar panels and 91,000 sq. ft. of parking lot canopy solar panels. Bowman performed initial due diligence research of municipal zoning, site plans, and coordination through the approval process.

Chick-fil-A

Chick-fil-A partners with Bowman to provide civil engineering and survey services for new stores across the southeast. Services include site planning, utility design, drainage and grading design, as well as ALTA surveys and topographic and boundary surveys. Bowman also provides permitting services. Building sizes are typically around 5,000 sq. ft. and site sizes range from less than an acre to three acres.

Claiborne Parkway Extension

Bowman prepared a traffic impact analysis, travel demand forecasting, traffic signal warrant analysis, preliminary traffic signal design plan, and provided public involvement support for the 4,000 LF extension of Claiborne Parkway in Loudoun County. The project was locally administered by the County’s Office of Transportation Services, and Bowman also provided survey, environmental permitting services, and roadway and drainage design for the entire project.

Classic & Fine Arts Academy (CAFA)

Bowman provided its full scope planning, professional design, and construction management services to support the development of a charter school. The project required complex design aspects to accommodate the main facility and its ancillary support buildings and areas. The team also coordinated with local authorities for the expansion of public road and utility infrastructure to connect to the project.

Closter Plaza

Bowman provided a multi-faceted planning, analysis, and design scheme to redevelop a declining 200,000 sq. ft. community shopping center. The team was challenged to create a more pedestrian friendly design all while providing adequate vehicle site access. Bowman also provided the Site Design, Surveying, and Local, County and State Permitting for the project.

Confidential Conveyor Corridor

A new leach pad is being developed to meet the needs of a new pit. A major earthwork project was undertaken to link the existing conveyor system to the new leach pad. As part of this project, Bowman provided temporary traffic control and temporary road designs as well as engineered drawings, specifications, construction scopes of work, and bid packages for the earthwork and new traffic underpass.

Confidential Early Mine Water Supply

Bowman developed a water distribution plan to provide potable and construction water to thhis project. This included the design of wells, impoundments, booster stations, overland pipelines and storage facilities. The first stage of this system currently operates at 650 psi and transports water over 2 miles.

Clifton Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant

Bowman provided a PER and Design to replace a trickling filter Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) with a new 200,000 gpd Moving Bed Biological Reactor (MBBR) treatment plant installed inside of the existing concrete treatment tank. Design elements included rehabilitation of the existing influent pump station and existing operations building, a standby generator, and demolition of existing WWTP components. Additional services included surveying and civil design.
