Bowman performs semi-annual bathymetric monitoring of Barton Mines’ upper pond in North Creek, NY, to evaluate sediment and slime accumulation and changes in pond conditions over time. Surveys use multibeam or single-beam sonar with RTK GNSS positioning to capture detailed bottom conditions across the pond.
Each monitoring event is compared against previous Bowman surveys. This ongoing comparison gives Barton Mines ongoing pond maintenance and long-term sediment management planning.
