Bowman is providing full-service engineering, surveying and mapping services to support the redevelopment of Midway Rising, a mixed-use redevelopment designed to revitalize San Diego’s Midway neighborhood.
Our scope includes ALTA and boundary surveys, preliminary engineering and technical studies. Bowman led the development of site plans—including new street alignments, grading, storm drain infrastructure and water quality design—which contributed to the project receiving recommended approval from the San Diego Planning Commission.
Anchoring the redevelopment is a 16,000-seat entertainment center that will replace the aging Pechanga Arena. Designed for sports events, concerts and live performances, the venue will serve as a regional hub for entertainment and community activity.
Beyond the arena, Midway Rising features 140,000 sq. ft. of commercial, retail and restaurant space and 4,267 new housing units, 2,250 of which are designated as affordable, making it the largest affordable housing initiative currently in development.
