San Antonio’s historic Mission Road Power Plant is now EPIcenter—an energy innovation hub. Using drone and laser scanning, over 1,000 scans were used to create a detailed Revit model that supported design, planning and marketing while preserving the site’s historic character.
To prepare for a projection mapping show at the New York Public Library, a 3D scan of a historic space was conducted using a Faro S series scanner. Eight high-resolution scans captured 350 million points in under two hours, creating an immersive 3D point cloud. The mesh was refined collaboratively, enabling content development ahead of the event.
A hillside property with multiple levels, including a World War II-era bunker, was meticulously scanned to capture every detail for restoration. The owner, an architect, sought a comprehensive understanding of the unique estate before making improvements. After a three-day scan, a highly detailed Revit model was created, preserving the property’s intricate features and history.
