Port Jervis Reservoir Bathymetry, Capacity & Safe-Yield Planning

Port Jervis, NY

Bowman performed bathymetric surveys of three drinking-water reservoirs in Port Jervis, NY, to establish existing bottom conditions and calculate current water-storage capacities.

Using hydrographic survey methods, Bowman collected bottom-elevation data across all three reservoirs and developed bathymetric surfaces, contours and reservoir volume calculations from that data. This information provides a baseline for evaluating sediment accumulation and changes in available storage over time.

Bowman also developed recommendations for future safe-yield analysis, including long-term reservoir water-level monitoring and collection of supporting water-supply data.
