Confidential Substation

South East, VA
Bowman provided 3D laser scanning services for this security fence project, which is being administered through Bowman's Master Service Agreement with the client. 3D scanning services are being conducted to capture survey grade 3-Dimensional data on the existing substation, perimeter fence, towers, and associated equipment, including ground elevations within the substation and around specified transmission towers outside the substation.

Minnesota Hydro Mapping

In 2022, the US Geological Survey (USGS) required lidar data and derivative products over a 1,500-square-mile area in central Minnesota. Through its Geospatial Products and Services Contract (GPSC4) our team was awarded a task order to provide QL1 lidar and hydro-flattening breaklines over this area, and the challenge was clear.

I-95 Emergency 3D Scanning

Florence, SC
Our team was retained by the South Carolina Department of Transportation, District 5 to perform emergency 3D laser scanning surveys on a ¾ mile segment of Interstate 95 running northerly from the I-95/I-20 Interchange.

Waldorf Astoria Hotel

New York, NY
Bowman performed complete 3D laser scanning operations on the full exterior of the Waldorf Astoria in Manhattan to capture the existing conditions and improvements on the main rooftops and two existing towers.

U.S. Silica Inventory Verification

Our team was hired by U.S. Silica, a nationwide sand and aggregate company, to conduct volume analysis on stockpiles as a third-party inventory verification. We have performed volume analysis scans every quarter since 2014 in various states, including Texas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, Maryland, North Dakota, and Montana.

Patuxent River Naval Air Station Hangar 111

Bowman established a GPS control network based on NAD 83 and NAVD 88 verified to Patuxent River Base control, conducted detailed topographic and existing conditions surveys of the tarmac and parking areas utilizing 3D laser scanning technology and a mobile TopoLift.
