Bowman provided site, utility, drainage and stormwater design, as well as rezoning and full permitting services for new ground-up sites in the Charleston SC market. Permitting was conducted with applicable Local, State and Federal agencies. The stores are approx. 5,000 sq. ft. and sites range from 3-6 acres.
Bowman provided overall design, design management, roadway and drainage design, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, traffic engineering/management, electrical design, ITS, tolling systems, right-of-way and ATCs through Tender Phase.
Bowman has provided site engineering design, environmental reconnaissance and permitting, and topographic survey for the construction of five, 80 foot long, fair weather stream crossing structures, and 1,300 lf of new trail construction and rehabilitation of existing trail.
The project included a 200,000 sq. ft. casino with restaurants and a venue for live entertainment, a parking garage, and surface parking on approximately 12 acres of the Arundel Mills Development.
The team designed a transient-oriented, mixed-use community South of the Vienna-Fairfax Metro Station and north of Route 29 that incorporates a variety of townhomes, condominiums, apartments, convenience retail, commercial office, daycare and public spaces.
Bowman provided full engineering and surveying support for the project from conceptual design to final construction documents for this mixed-use residential project.
Bowman provided emergency design services to retrofit critical storm structures following Hurricane Katrina and worked closely with the City of Port St. Lucie to provide assistance in expediting a solution to a destroyed water retention berm.
Bowman provided complete right-of-way acquisition services to acquire an easement needed from 18 property owners and was able to obtain voluntary conveyance from a vast majority of the parcels.
Bowman is assisting the Middlesex Water Authority with developing a regional water system in lower Middlesex County.
