Bowman provided on-call services to Fairfax County’s Stormwater Planning Division. The team provided environmental consulting services, conceptual and final engineering design, and construction phase administration for this stream restoration project. Bowman’s team of environmental scientists performed a wetland delineation and stream mitigation evaluation, and a Water Quality Impact Assessment report and small whorled pogonia survey were prepared.

Beaverdam Reservoir

With this study, Bowman’s team prepared a schematic design for potential park features, developed base mapping to determine development constraints and the boundaries of environmental overlay districts using GIS data, and identified potential access locations and existing public utilities. The information was to be used for development of a conceptual facility layout.

Alexis Wind Farm

Bowman established the primary geodetic control network consisting of 20 control monuments throughout a 70,000 acre wind farm development in Western Illinois. Bowman used GPS static observations and advanced post-processing adjustments to establish NAD83 horizontal and NGVD88 vertical datum to support the boundary survey and ALTA/ACSM Land Title Survey and future construction stakeout for this wind farm.

Amazon Building (Project Rook)

Bowman provided various professional services for this 346,400 sq. ft. warehouse and was responsible for the planning and design of stormwater management, storm drain layouts, water and sanitary sew-er alignments, erosion and sediment control staging, permitting, as well as retrofit design for storm-water pond conversion.

Bowman designed a major portion of the 216-acre HQ campus and conducted extensive records research and as-built utility surveys, including sanitary sewer, storm sewer, water, gas, irrigation, fiber optic, telecommunications, and primary and secondary electric service lines.

Bowman provided a combination full scope development services starting with the initial survey, through design, and ultimate construction support. The team delivered engineering design services to including boundary verification, topographic analysis, and site improvements. The project required extensive coordination with local and state authorities during the design and permitting processes.

Andrews Air Force Base Family Housing

Bowman prepared demolition plans for areas proposed for redevelopment of residential units and future commercial and office uses. Scope included preliminary engineering design, layout and grading of roadways and housing units, utility design, stormwater management, topographic and improvement surveys, and an ALTA/ACSM land title survey. Technical review and quality control of final engineering documents were also provided.

Arbor Terrace

Arbor Terrace provides 82 residential units for assisted living within a new three-story building and includes the construction of new internal paved access drives and parking areas throughout the site. Bowman provided civil engineering, surveying, permitting, and construction administration services.

Arlington Public Schools On-Call

Bowman provided planning and preliminary design services for a 158-lot single family residential subdivision on a 40 acre site. Bowman provided land planning and entitlement services including PAD, General Plan Amendment and Preliminary Design documents. The team also worked closely with City planning officials to incorporate future infrastructure expansions into the project’s design.
