The team designed a transient-oriented, mixed-use community South of the Vienna-Fairfax Metro Station and north of Route 29 that incorporates a variety of townhomes, condominiums, apartments, convenience retail, commercial office, daycare and public spaces.
Bowman provided full engineering and surveying support for the project from conceptual design to final construction documents for this mixed-use residential project.
Bowman provided emergency design services to retrofit critical storm structures following Hurricane Katrina and worked closely with the City of Port St. Lucie to provide assistance in expediting a solution to a destroyed water retention berm.
Bowman provided complete right-of-way acquisition services to acquire an easement needed from 18 property owners and was able to obtain voluntary conveyance from a vast majority of the parcels.
Bowman provided Phase II engineering design of a two-span steel through girder railroad bridge. Bowman is assisting the Middlesex Water Authority with developing a regional water system in lower Middlesex County. Bowman has completed this evaluation, developed and obtained approval of the Preliminary Engineering Report and has begun design to follow Hampton Roads Planning District Commission specifications. The scope involves the installation of approximately 42 miles of water distribu-tion piping sized from 12” down to 2″.
Bowman currently holds an Annual Engineering Agreement for civil, water/wastewater and surveying services with the Nelson County Service Authority.
Bowman provided planning and design services to the Town of Vienna for the Maple Avenue project. Bowman’s scope of services includes approximately a mile of comprehensive streetscape enhancement, pedestrian improvements, significant overhead utility undergrounding, storm drain utility analysis and design, a full topographic and property survey, and comprehensive easement and entitlement services.
