Bowman provided emergency design services to retrofit critical storm structures following Hurricane Katrina and worked closely with the City of Port St. Lucie to provide assistance in expediting a solution to a destroyed water retention berm.
The team designed a transient-oriented, mixed-use community South of the Vienna-Fairfax Metro Station and north of Route 29 that incorporates a variety of townhomes, condominiums, apartments, convenience retail, commercial office, daycare and public spaces.
Bowman provided extensive and hyper-detailed aerial mapping and photogrammetry services to ensure compliance on multiple dam improvement projects. The team was required to establish temporary and permanent ground control points to ensure high accuracy of the final data set.
Bowman provided full engineering and surveying support for the project from conceptual design to final construction documents for this mixed-use residential project.
Bowman provided complete right-of-way acquisition services to acquire an easement needed from 18 property owners and was able to obtain voluntary conveyance from a vast majority of the parcels.
Bowman provided a detailed topographic and utility as-built survey on approximately 41 acres, in three separate areas of Chambers Field, Hangar 167 at Naval Station Norfolk.
The project included a 200,000 sq. ft. casino with restaurants and a venue for live entertainment, a parking garage, and surface parking on approximately 12 acres of the Arundel Mills Development.
Bowman was retained to conduct planning, civil engineering and surveying services for this new urban community located along the Dulles Greenway west of Dulles International Airport.
The project includes the site civil engineering for the County Aquatic Center consisting of four pools and associated recreational amenities. Design and permitting of site civil engineering features including pool decking and drainage, access roadways and parking, stormwater management conveyance facilities, stormwater storage and treatment, site grading, water and wastewater utilities.
