Bowman powers the infrastructure behind tomorrow’s technologies. As one of the earliest pioneers in the data center space, we’ve evolved with the industry to provide solutions that meet the demands of today’s most advanced computing environments. Our data center practitioners design solutions that support more than 250 kW per cabinet, far beyond the traditional 3-5 kW loads of earlier generations. Our capabilities also include direct liquid cooling (DLC) cooling to bring chilled water directly to the chip in high-density computer systems.
Bowman’s experience with mission critical infrastructure extends well beyond the data center walls. We take a blended approach, combining the depth of expertise within our Data Center Design Centers and the broad reach of our 100 plus offices nationwide, each well versed in local permitting processes. Our services include site planning, survey, water resource management, civil engineering, landscape architecture, bridging power, permanent power, substation design, mechanical, electrical, fire protection and more.
Bringing these disciplines together keeps the project connected and aligned with speed to market. This level of coordination enables campus infrastructure, whether a single building or a multi building interconnected campus, to remain agile and competitive in a rapidly expanding market.
We engineer systems that keep high-performance facilities running around the clock. Our professionals evaluate every detail to deliver solutions that perform dependably today and scale seamlessly as market demands evolve.
Building a data center begins well before the first foundation is poured. Bowman’s civil, survey, land procurement and site design teams understand the utility, access and infrastructure requirements essential to supporting these facilities. Our Utility Master Planning process prioritizes coordination of fiber and electrical duct banks, often supported by detailed 3D modeling to streamline installation. We also know how critical security is and work closely with owners and architects to integrate effective, site-specific measures. We leverage this experience to ensure every site is planned and designed for long-term performance and reliability.
