Bowman led the preparation of final design plans and contract documents, as well as provide construction oversight, for improved pedestrian and bicycle amenities along the Woonasquatucket River from Eagle Square to Francis Street in Providence, RI.
Bowman is the lead consultant for the Illinois Department of Transportation’s (IDOT) first corridor management contract, providing comprehensive program leadership and construction corridor management for the reconstruction of the I-80 corridor from east of Ridge Road to US 30.
Bowman provided survey and civil and site design services for Hotel Jay and the Pump House indoor water park, supporting a major resort expansion within a constrained mountain setting. The project required thoughtful coordination of grading, drainage and infrastructure design to integrate new facilities with existing parking areas and site conditions.
Bowman provided engineering, permitting and construction-phase services for the multi-phase infrastructure improvement project at Milton Mobile Home Park, an approximately 100-unit resident-owned cooperative with aging water and wastewater systems. The long-running effort addressed critical utility needs for an affordable manufactured housing community while improving the reliability and resilience of its core infrastructure.
Bowman was selected to lead engineering and design for the revitalization of Center Street between Wales Street and Merchants Row. The one-block corridor improvement supports a more accessible downtown environment with enhanced pedestrian space, green infrastructure, public gathering areas and parking.
Bowman provided ADA design expertise during construction for the installation and upgrade of curb ramps along multiple transportation corridors throughout the Philadelphia metropolitan area.
Bowman provided accessibility assessments and design services for the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) to improve ADA compliance and pedestrian safety at bus stops throughout the system.
Bowman developed ADA design plans for the installation and upgrade of ADA-compliant curb ramps across the Philadelphia metro area, part of the city’s larger initiative to install 10,000 ADA-compliant curb ramps by April 2038.
Bowman is leading a study for the Port of Corpus Christi Authority (PCCA) to identify and implement congestion management strategies for truck traffic serving port terminals during peak grain export operations. The project focuses on improving truck flow, operational predictability and safety along the primary port access corridor during the ADM grain season.
