Bowman has been an integral part of the civil design, permitting and construction administration for the development of two Visiting Nurses Association’s (VNA) assisted living facilities. The two facilities, Grand Oaks of Okeechobee and Grand Oaks of Jensen, are both headquartered out of Stuart, Florida.

Engineering services for over 50 WaWa projects. Services include entitlements and development of strategic plans for market-driven initiatives. Also provided representation at public hearings and workshops, technical assistance for prototype stores, Chapter 527 TIA Reports, traffic impact studies, etc.

Weequahic Park Playground Improvements

Bowman provided various services for the design of a new children’s playground which included replacing the old playground and improvements to the existing pavilion building. The playground was designed to provide dedicated outdoor social play areas for children aged 2-5 and 5-12. The two play areas are separated by a walkway, and both include climbers and swings at the appropriate skill levels.

VDOT Route 29, Berkmar Drive Extension

The project consisted of establishing secondary control for survey work, performing field run topographic/planimetric surveys on approximately 80-acres, annotating the existing photogrammetry, property corner recovery and location, and storm sewer/drainage as-built preparation and delivery in accordance with VDOT standards.

The Metropolitan at 40 Park

n of a smart growth redevelopment project in downtown Morristown. This site includes a 40,000 sq. ft. of street level retail with 84 luxury condominium units and a new luxury apartment building above the ground floor. Below everything is a 700 car parking garage and a Gold LEED Certified 25,000 sq. ft. office and an apartment building with 36 loft type units are also part of the project.

Bowman provided professional environmental, engineering, and surveying services for this 420-acre residential, commercial and retail development, including preliminary design, site control, boundary surveys, utility system layout, preliminary design of storm water facilities, and final subdivision design for roadways and residential lots.

Tri-State Tollway (I-294) Reconstruction, Mile Long Bridge

The Mile Long Bridge is a critical piece of infrastructure to the Central Tri-State Tollway (I-294) corridor as it carries drivers over two major railroads, three water sources and local roads, and over a major distribution center for UPS and Burlington Northern Santa Fe (BNSF) Railway. Bowman is providing Phase III construction management services for this multi-year project.

U.S. Naval Academy Hammer Throw Field Improvements

Bowman provided surveying, civil engineering, site and landscape plans, and a forest conservation plan for this project at the U.S. Naval Academy in Anne Arundel County, Maryland. Bowman’s scope of services included regrading and providing swales around the hammer throw fields to provide stormwater management through swale infiltration.

UT Tennis Center, UTGC Recreational Swim Center, and TWC Residential Casitas

This mixed-use project includes a tennis center with six indoor courts and four outdoor courts for University of Texas Athletics, a recreational swimming facility and concession building for The University of Texas Golf Club, and 20 residential “casitas” (condominiums). Bowman refined the land plan, designed the shared on-site and off-site infrastructure, and managed the site plan approval process.

VDOT Route 123

Bowman is providing structural and right-of-way services for this new interchange that will build Route 123 over Route 1 to separate through traffic, and connect Route 123 to Belmont Bay Drive east of the railroad. Both Routes will be widened from four to six lanes.
