Bowman was engaged by the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) to modernize the architectural lighting system on the Pawtucket River Bridge, a symbolic feature of the I-95 corridor seen by thousands of drivers daily.

Bowman led the preparation of final design plans and contract documents, as well as provide construction oversight, for improved pedestrian and bicycle amenities along the Woonasquatucket River from Eagle Square to Francis Street in Providence, RI.

Bowman was selected to lead engineering and design for the revitalization of Center Street between Wales Street and Merchants Row. The one-block corridor improvement supports a more accessible downtown environment with enhanced pedestrian space, green infrastructure, public gathering areas and parking.

Bowman is leading a study for the Port of Corpus Christi Authority (PCCA) to identify and implement congestion management strategies for truck traffic serving port terminals during peak grain export operations. The project focuses on improving truck flow, operational predictability and safety along the primary port access corridor during the ADM grain season.

Bowman is providing planning and design services for the redevelopment of the West End Container Yard, a 140-acre effort to expand loaded container operations utilizing rubber tire gantry cranes. Our services include terminal planning, capacity upgrade schemes and traffic flow evaluations.

Bowman has been selected by the City of Watertown to provide transportation engineering services for the detailed streetscape and roadway design of Watertown Square. Our team served as Engineer of Record for LA Metro’s Westside Purple Line Extension, designing Century City/Constellation Station and reviewing plans for Wilshire/Rodeo Station. The project demanded advanced soil-structure interaction, 3D modeling, and excavation support to ensure stability beneath densely developed areas along Wilshire Boulevard, factoring in seismic resilience and loading impacts from nearby high-rise buildings in this urban infrastructure initiative.

Bowman was engaged by the MBTA for a four-year, $7M contract to plan, design and construct a wide range of bus system infrastructure projects to further upgrade and enhance bus system accessibility, safety, state of good repair, service reliability, travel times, and system wide expansion.

The overarching goal of the North Station to Seaport Bus Link project is to improve transit connectivity across the Downtown core of the City of Boston to meet current and future transit demands.
