Bowman was engaged by the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) to modernize the architectural lighting system on the Pawtucket River Bridge, a symbolic feature of the I-95 corridor seen by thousands of drivers daily.

Bowman led the preparation of final design plans and contract documents, as well as provide construction oversight, for improved pedestrian and bicycle amenities along the Woonasquatucket River from Eagle Square to Francis Street in Providence, RI.

Bowman is the lead consultant for the Illinois Department of Transportation’s (IDOT) first corridor management contract, providing comprehensive program leadership and construction corridor management for the reconstruction of the I-80 corridor from east of Ridge Road to US 30.

Bowman supported the construction of a new 10,000-foot-long by 150-foot-wide runway along with the South End-Around Taxiway at Charlotte Douglas International Airport with survey and field verification services.

Bowman provided engineering design and landscape architecture services for Middlebury College’s redesign of the pedestrian entry at Johnson Hall. Originally constructed in a Brutalist architectural style, the building’s entrance did not meet ADA accessibility standards. Working collaboratively with the project architect, Bowman developed a new, fully accessible entry route that eliminates all stairs and creates an inclusive pathway for all users.

Bowman deployed a multi-system LiDAR & photogrammetric strategy to capture and document existing-conditions to help plan repairs to the centuries old Mission San José y San Miguel de Aguayo.

Bowman provided civil engineering, survey, permitting and construction support services for the four-story, 96-room Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham hotel. The project included underground parking and transformed a vacant commercial parcel into a hospitality destination consistent with the town’s mixed-use development vision.

Bowman supported Weidmann Electrical Technology with the expansion of its active manufacturing facility, providing site design, permitting and construction-phase services to help advance new industrial growth while maintaining ongoing operations. The project included improvements to the existing facility, a new storage building and relocated parking areas.

Bowman supported the Bourne redevelopment, a 1.39-acre brownfield infill project spanning three parcels at a prominent commercial intersection. The redevelopment, located at Shelburne Road and Swift Street, transforms the previously underused site into a coordinated mixed-use setting, featuring a bank, commercial space, multifamily housing and underground parking.

Bowman provided survey and civil and site design services for Hotel Jay and the Pump House indoor water park, supporting a major resort expansion within a constrained mountain setting. The project required thoughtful coordination of grading, drainage and infrastructure design to integrate new facilities with existing parking areas and site conditions.
