Bowman was hired to ensure design compliance with previously designed but never constructed plans and coordinate tie-in and access to public infrastructure. In the process, the team optimized the layout to reduce grading requirements and provide a cost savings to the client.

Cople Elementary School Solar Project

5-acre 2,100 solar panel array located on existing Elementary School property produces 1.2 megawatts a year, offset-ting the facilities carbon footprint by 865 tons of CO2. This project is part of a Power Purchase Agreement with Sun-Tribe Solar which resulted in no investment from the County and estimated to save $3.6 million over the solar array’s lifespan. Bowman provided comprehensive engineering and surveying services.

Confidential Wash Settlers

Bowman, having previously designed the original settlers during another project, designed two new Wash Settlers with related structures, containment, equipment, storage, piping and instrumentation.

Culver’s

Bowman’s retail experts work closely with the owners to provide conceptual site planning, site development plans, civil construction documents, site entitlement, permitting and construction management.

Dominion Power

Bowman provided topographic, physical and boundary surveying services, as well as civil engineering services including grading, drainage, and erosion & sediment control. The team was challenged to design with existing drainage problems in an area prone to flooding.

Desert Wind Farm

Bowman provided a variety of survey services to support the development of a proposed 150 turbine, 330-megawatt wind farm. The team was responsible for preparing and recertification for ALTA surveys and pos construction as-builts.

CTC on Camelback

This 14-acre site required a lot split and rezone which required extensive coordination between various local municipalities. Features 167 units of two-bedroom or duplex one-bedroom single story homes with high-end amenities and private backyards. Bowman provided planning, entitlements, site planning, preliminary and final engineering, and construction support services.

Charles City County Annual Services Contract

Bowman was selected to perform utility engineering services for various water and wastewater systems. Bowman is responsible for attending various meetings with County staff and Supervisors, regulatory officials and representatives from the funding agencies in pursuit of financing for the below identified projects, as well as attending public meetings.

Chessie’s Trail: Lee District Park

Bowman provided planning, engineering, surveying, landscape architecture, and environmental consulting services within the 120-acre Lee District Park as part of the Family Recreation Area Spray Park and Accessible Tree House and Chessie Trail development. The accessible trails and tree house project had significant topographic and tree preservation challenges.
