Phase I and Phase II included engineering design services for the repair and maintenance of seven separate structures. Work included the determination of appropriate repair and maintenance activities for each structure based on recent Bridge Condition Reports, discussions with KDOT staff, and other improvements determined during Phase II engineering.

Bowman provided Phase II engineering services for the design of the New Stearns Road. Other roadways included in this project include McLean Boulevard and IL Route 31. Bowman’s staff prepared plans, specifications, and estimates for the construction of this new four-lane roadway.

Bowman provided overall design, design management, roadway and drainage design, hydrologic and hydraulic calculations, traffic engineering/management, electrical design, ITS, tolling systems, right-of-way and ATCs through Tender Phase.

Bowman provided Phase II engineering design of a two-span steel through girder railroad bridge. Bowman provided planning and civil design services to deliver this 12-acre residential redevelopment consisting of twelve, three-story buildings, providing a total of 165 residential units of with a portion allocated for affordable housing. Bowman was responsible for all preliminary and final site plans, prepared a boundary and topographic survey, and conducted a traffic impact study.

Bowman is providing project management services for the design and construction of transportation improvements that will improve safety, operations, and streets in and around the Lincoln Yards Development.

Bowman provided surveying and platting, civil engineering, traffic signal design, rezoning, public participation, construction plan approvals, and construction administration for an upscale, urban village style, 55+ age single-family neighborhood, community park, extensive landscaping, and amenities. Bowman also facilitated a solution to provide extensive planning and hardscape design amidst existing easements associated with prior roadway plans.

Phase I and II services for replacement of existing steel beam bridge at County Road 8 and the Fraser River, originally constructed in 1979. A bridge hydraulic report and scour analysis were prepared for this project. Proposed structure is 47 feet wide with span of 46 feet Prestressed Precast Concrete (PPC) Deck Beams with a 6-inch cast-in-place concrete slab, founded on pile bent abutments.

Bowman prepared a traffic impact analysis, travel demand forecasting, traffic signal warrant analysis, preliminary traffic signal design plan, and provided public involvement support for the 4,000 LF extension of Claiborne Parkway in Loudoun County. The project was locally administered by the County’s Office of Transportation Services, and Bowman also provided survey, environmental permitting services, and roadway and drainage design for the entire project.

Bowman provided a multi-faceted planning, analysis, and design scheme to redevelop a declining 200,000 sq. ft. community shopping center. The team was challenged to create a more pedestrian friendly design all while providing adequate vehicle site access. Bowman also provided the Site Design, Surveying, and Local, County and State Permitting for the project.
