5-acre 2,100 solar panel array located on existing Elementary School property produces 1.2 megawatts a year, offset-ting the facilities carbon footprint by 865 tons of CO2. This project is part of a Power Purchase Agreement with Sun-Tribe Solar which resulted in no investment from the County and estimated to save $3.6 million over the solar array’s lifespan. Bowman provided comprehensive engineering and surveying services.
Phase I and II services for replacement of existing steel beam bridge at County Road 8 and the Fraser River, originally constructed in 1979. A bridge hydraulic report and scour analysis were prepared for this project. Proposed structure is 47 feet wide with span of 46 feet Prestressed Precast Concrete (PPC) Deck Beams with a 6-inch cast-in-place concrete slab, founded on pile bent abutments.
Bowman provided core planning, drainage design, land surveying and environmental services for roadway improvements to an additional 1.9-mile section of CR 266. The team worked closely with local and state officials to ensure planning and ultimate design met growth targets and municipal goals. The team also coordinated with utility companies for the extension and or relocation of service lines.
Bowman was hired to ensure design compliance with previously designed but never constructed plans and coordinate tie-in and access to public infrastructure. In the process, the team optimized the layout to reduce grading requirements and provide a cost savings to the client.
Bowman provided a variety of survey services to support the development of a proposed 150 turbine, 330-megawatt wind farm. The team was responsible for preparing and recertification for ALTA surveys and pos construction as-builts.
Bowman provided disaster recovery services on behalf of York Risk Services Group to assess the physical and financial damage to Great Gorge Golf Course as a result of Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee. Bowman services consisted of assessing damage through analysis of on-site mapping before and after conditions and preparing a report and photo documentation of findings.
Bowman provided its full scope planning, professional design, and construction management services to support the development of a charter school. The project required complex design aspects to accommodate the main facility and its ancillary support buildings and areas. The team also coordinated with local authorities for the expansion of public road and utility infrastructure to connect to the project.
Bowman provided a multi-faceted planning, analysis, and design scheme to redevelop a declining 200,000 sq. ft. community shopping center. The team was challenged to create a more pedestrian friendly design all while providing adequate vehicle site access. Bowman also provided the Site Design, Surveying, and Local, County and State Permitting for the project.
A new leach pad is being developed to meet the needs of a new pit. A major earthwork project was undertaken to link the existing conveyor system to the new leach pad. As part of this project, Bowman provided temporary traffic control and temporary road designs as well as engineered drawings, specifications, construction scopes of work, and bid packages for the earthwork and new traffic underpass.
