County Road 8 – Bridge over Fraser River

Phase I and II services for replacement of existing steel beam bridge at County Road 8 and the Fraser River, originally constructed in 1979. A bridge hydraulic report and scour analysis were prepared for this project. Proposed structure is 47 feet wide with span of 46 feet Prestressed Precast Concrete (PPC) Deck Beams with a 6-inch cast-in-place concrete slab, founded on pile bent abutments.

CR 266

Bowman provided core planning, drainage design, land surveying and environmental services for roadway improvements to an additional 1.9-mile section of CR 266. The team worked closely with local and state officials to ensure planning and ultimate design met growth targets and municipal goals. The team also coordinated with utility companies for the extension and or relocation of service lines.

Crosspoint

Bowman was hired to ensure design compliance with previously designed but never constructed plans and coordinate tie-in and access to public infrastructure. In the process, the team optimized the layout to reduce grading requirements and provide a cost savings to the client.

Desert Wind Farm

Bowman provided a variety of survey services to support the development of a proposed 150 turbine, 330-megawatt wind farm. The team was responsible for preparing and recertification for ALTA surveys and pos construction as-builts.

Disaster Recovery Services Great Gorge Golf Course

Bowman provided disaster recovery services on behalf of York Risk Services Group to assess the physical and financial damage to Great Gorge Golf Course as a result of Hurricane Irene and Tropical Storm Lee. Bowman services consisted of assessing damage through analysis of on-site mapping before and after conditions and preparing a report and photo documentation of findings.

Classic & Fine Arts Academy (CAFA)

Bowman provided its full scope planning, professional design, and construction management services to support the development of a charter school. The project required complex design aspects to accommodate the main facility and its ancillary support buildings and areas. The team also coordinated with local authorities for the expansion of public road and utility infrastructure to connect to the project.

Closter Plaza

Bowman provided a multi-faceted planning, analysis, and design scheme to redevelop a declining 200,000 sq. ft. community shopping center. The team was challenged to create a more pedestrian friendly design all while providing adequate vehicle site access. Bowman also provided the Site Design, Surveying, and Local, County and State Permitting for the project.

A new leach pad is being developed to meet the needs of a new pit. A major earthwork project was undertaken to link the existing conveyor system to the new leach pad. As part of this project, Bowman provided temporary traffic control and temporary road designs as well as engineered drawings, specifications, construction scopes of work, and bid packages for the earthwork and new traffic underpass.

Confidential Early Mine Water Supply

Bowman developed a water distribution plan to provide potable and construction water to thhis project. This included the design of wells, impoundments, booster stations, overland pipelines and storage facilities. The first stage of this system currently operates at 650 psi and transports water over 2 miles.

Confidential Stormwater Diversions and Culverts

Bowman designed three stormwater diversions to protect a leach pad. These diversions required the engineering design of several structures including channels, levees, energy dissipation structures and box culverts. In conjunction with these designs, Bowman developed method specifications for compaction and a design for soil cement that utilized the material sourced from the channel excavation.
